We recently had our one-year walk-though and the manufacturer and representatives from Fayette County Public Schools were very happy with what they saw. This project consisted of several different systems in order to meet the needs of the building. We included Dimensional Metal Incorporated’s 22 ga roofing, 130,000 square feet of Johns Manville’s 2 ply SBS Roof System, 81,000 square feet of a Standing Seam Metal Roof, and 35,000 square feet of metal wall panels. In addition to these roofing materials, this project was unique because we also had to install a continuous air barrier system in order to meet the strict building commissioning requirements for air leakage. We also sealed all of the walls and the perimeter of the roof with EPDM flashing to exceed the negative pressure testing.
